Algerian Ambassador to Zamba Ahmed Saadi has commended President Hakainde Hichilema for the excellent policies that he has continued to implement in different sectors of the country.

Mr. Saadi says policies such as free education should be commended and fully taken advantage of, as it is positioning the country on the right track.

He added that Algeria has also been implementing the free education policy and the people in that country have greatly benefited from it.

Mr. Saadi said Zambia and Algeria share the same values in relation to democracy, rule of law, peace and security adding that such gestures need to be appreciated.

ZANIS reports that the Ambassador said this during the reception to commemorate the anniversary of the revolution of Algeria.

And speaking at the same event Minister of Tourism Rodney Sikumba says Algeria has continued to be an important bilateral and multilateral cooperating partner to Zambia.

Mr. Sikumba said Zambia looks forward to building stronger business linkages and partnerships between the two countries, particularly in solar and wind energy, an area in which Algeria has invested extensively.
